Day 1 - Muscat
Upon your arrival in Muscat, our team will greet you and assist you with your transfer to your hotel. We will provide you with a check-in process and guide you to the nearby local eateries and shops. Afterward, you will have some leisure time to explore the city before the official tour commences the next day. You will be staying in Muscat overnight.
Day 2 - Muscat / City tour
At 9:00, a tour of Muscat is offered to explore the capital city of Oman and immerse oneself in the Arabic ambiance. The tour showcases a blend of ancient architecture and modern life. The first stop is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of world architecture made of sandstone and marble, with 5 minarets and rich internal designs. Next, the Royal Opera House, a symbol of Oman's musical and stage art, is visited. Finally, the Muttrah Souq, located on the banks of the Gulf of Oman, provides an opportunity to witness everyday life in Oman. To fully enjoy the market, simply browse through the rows and haggle for the items you desire. The market offers a wide range of products from spices to traditional rugs, vases, and souvenirs. After visiting the market, it's worth visiting the Mutrah fort, which dates back to the 1580s when it was constructed by the Portuguese for military defense. Today, it's a popular tourist attraction. Another must-visit location in Muscat is the Al Alam Palace, which is the residence of Sultan Qaboos. The palace is surrounded by forts on both sides and offers a breathtaking view. Although visitors are not allowed inside, they can take pictures and explore the palace's surroundings. Spend the night in Muscat.
Day 3 - Bimmah Sinkhole / Wadi Shab / Ras al Jinz
We begin our journey towards the East Coast from Muscat at 8:00 AM and halt at Bimmah sinkhole for a quick swim. Following this, we head towards Wadi Shab and embark on an easy hike after taking a small ferry across the lake. The hike leads us to beautiful fresh pools where we can swim and explore the hidden cavern with a waterfall. Later in the evening, we reach our hotel in Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, where we have dinner. After dinner, we visit the Turtle Reserve to witness the unique experience of turtles laying their eggs on the wild beach. We spend the night at the Turtle Reserve.
Day 4 - Wadi Bani Khalid / Wahiba Sands
At 7:00 AM, we start our day with breakfast and a brief tour of Sur, which includes visiting the Dhow building yard, Light House, and a picturesque city corniche. Our next destination is Wadi Bani Khalid, where we take a break to swim in the refreshing deep pools and discover the concealed Mukal Cave. We can enjoy the sun and cool mountain breeze before having a delicious lunch in the Wadi. Then, we drive to Bidiya village and visit a Bedouin family in the desert, where we can indulge in Omani coffee and dates. We will then head to the desert camp and watch the sunset from the dunes, capturing some incredible photographs. We will have a BBQ dinner at the camp and engage in friendly conversations with friends around the campfire. We will stay overnight at the Desert Camp.
Day 5 - Nizwa /Al Hamra/ Grand Canyon
Our journey begins in the morning as we depart from the Wahiba desert and head towards Nizwa, which used to be the ancient capital of Oman. While in Nizwa, you will get the chance to explore the Nizwa Fort and the Traditional Souk. We will then proceed to Al Hamra, one of the oldest villages in Oman, situated at the base of the Hajar Mountains. Here, you will have the opportunity to take a stroll around the mud brick houses. We will then continue our journey towards Jebel Shams, the highest peak in the Hajar mountain range, providing breathtaking views of the mountains and the highest point in Oman. Despite the hot weather, the temperature remains cool at Jebel Shams. The location offers a stunning landscape, ancient rock carvings, and isolated villages. We will spend the night in the mountains.
Day 6 - Muscat/ Dimaniyat Islands
By embarking on a snorkeling day excursion, you will have the opportunity to explore the stunning Dimaniyath islands, which are located in close proximity to one another. These islands boast a diverse array of coral reefs, as well as a significant population of sea turtles. In addition, visitors can appreciate the picturesque white sand beaches and crystal-clear blue waters that make Oman so special. While there is no guarantee, it is possible to catch a glimpse of dolphins during the journey. Furthermore, the journey offers breathtaking views of the Muscat coastline. The trip concludes with an overnight stay in Muscat.
Day 7 - Muscat airport transfer
Once you have finished your morning meal, make your way to the airport with all of the unforgettable experiences from your trip in tow. It's important to note that breakfast is provided before departing.
