Day 1 - Arrival Muscat.
When you reach Muscat International Airport, head directly to Immigration where the process is fast and uncomplicated. After exiting the General arrival lounge, a courteous and capable chauffeur from Smart Travel & Tourism will be waiting to escort you to their vehicle for a comfortable ride to your hotel. Spend the night at the hotel in Muscat.
Meals Day 2 - Half-Day Muscat City Tour
In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel for a Half day City Tour that covers several key attractions. The tour starts with a trip to the impressive Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, which is considered one of the biggest mosques in the Middle East. Afterward, you will visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum. Additionally, there will be photo opportunities at the Al Alam Palace, the official residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, which is guarded by the 16th-century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. In the evening, you will explore the Muttrah Souq, where you can haggle over handicrafts and silver items. You will spend the night at your hotel in Muscat.
Meals Day 3 - Muscat - Wadi Arbyeen - Bimmah Sink Hole - Wadi Shab - Ras Al Hdad
At 8:30 in the morning, your tour guide will meet you at your hotel to begin an exciting adventure. The journey will take you to Wadi Arbaeen, passing through a vibrant village surrounded by date, lemon, and mango plantations. Each location will provide an opportunity for photos. The final destination is Wadi Arbaeen, an oasis amidst the dry and barren mountains. This wadi is considered one of the most stunning due to its clear, deep blue pools, which offer a chance for a refreshing swim. Along the coastal route, you'll stop at the limestone Sinkhole in Bimah and continue to Fins. Then, you'll visit Wadi Shab, which translates to "wadi between cliffs," and take a walk through it. Proper footwear is recommended due to the terrain. As you trek through the wadi, you'll come across various pools where you can take a swim. The day will conclude with dinner on the beach at Ras al Hadd around 6:30 pm, followed by watching turtles in Ras al Jinz. One of the unforgettable encounters is witnessing the turtles laying their eggs during the night, which takes place in Ras al Hadd. No details are left out in this experience.
Meals Day 4 - Ras Al Hadd - Sur Dhow Factory - Wadi Bani Khalid - Wahiba Desert
Your tour will begin at 9:00 am when your driver and tour guide meet you at 8:30 am. They will take you to the Omani desert in a comfortable 4-wheel drive. Once you arrive in Sur, your guide will show you around the town, which is famous for its Dhow Building Yard. This tradition has been passed down for centuries and has helped Oman become one of the oldest and most influential sultanates in the Gulf region. Even though dhow-building is not as common as it once was, it is still a thriving industry in Sur. People from all over the world, including the ultra-wealthy, come here to witness the ancient craft and get their hands on some of the world's most storied handmade ships. As you travel towards Wadi Bani Khalid, you will pass through several small towns and villages, including a scenic drive through the mountains that offers a breathtaking view of the landscape below. Along the way, you will see many charming villages nestled in the mountainside. The road descends towards the wadi, passing by a large, shallow pool surrounded by vegetation before reaching a village where we park our vehicles. From there, we will embark on a short hike to reach the deep blue pools of the wadi, where you can take a refreshing swim. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes for this excursion.
Next, we will continue our journey to the impressive desert of Oman, also known as the "Wahiba Sands." Our experienced drivers will take you on a thrilling ride through the sand dunes for an unforgettable experience. After enjoying the exhilarating ride over the beautiful dunes, you may have the opportunity to meet a Bedouin family and learn more about their way of life. After experiencing the lifestyle of the desert inhabitants, you will depart from them and head towards the campsite in order to have a buffet dinner and spend the night in the Wahiba Sands desert.
Meals Day 5 - Wahiba Sands - Sinaw - Birkat Al Moze - Nizwa
Once you finish your morning meal, you will depart from this stunning desert landscape and proceed toward the quaint Sinaw village. As you continue your journey, you will make a stop at the foot of Jabel Akhdar and take a break to explore the ancient Birkat Al Mawz village. Here, you can take a stroll through the plantations and narrow alleyways, observing the old, dilapidated houses. You will spend the night at Nizwa Hotel.
Meals Day 6 - Nizwa - Jabreen Castal - Bahal Fort & Osis - Jabel Shams - Nizwa
Your tour will begin after breakfast when you meet your guide in the hotel lobby. The first stop will be Nizwa, which served as Oman's capital in the past. You'll visit the traditional and craft Souk to purchase souvenirs before exploring the Fort of Nizwa, which boasts a large circular tower and offers a glimpse into life in the 17th century. From the tower, you'll be able to see the vastness of the plantation.
After a long drive, your next destination will be Jabrin. Here, you'll visit the Fort, which was originally built as a palace for the Imam and later converted for military use. The tomb of the Imam is still situated in the Fort, which is also believed to be one of Oman's first schools. Your final stop will be Bahla, a quaint town surrounded by a 12 km long wall. You can observe the pottery-making process and explore the old Bahla Fort, one of Oman's oldest (currently under renovation, Prior to ascending Jebel Shams, it is recommended to explore Wadi Nakhr, a breathtakingly beautiful narrow canyon that is considered to be one of the world's deepest canyons. Within the canyon, there is a village that specializes in weaving as its main activity. Afterward, proceed to the summit of Jebel Shams, also known as "Sun Mountain," which is the tallest peak in Oman, standing at 3009 meters. From the summit, visitors can enjoy a magnificent view of the "Grand Canyon." Spend the night at a hotel in Nizwa. the visit is limited to the exterior).
Meals Day 7 - Nizwa Fort & Souq - Muscat Amouage Perfume Factory - Muscat Hotel
During the morning, we will explore a remarkable fort in Oman that has a circular cannon tower, which is considered one of the most impressive forts in the country. We will also take a stroll through the traditional Souq. Our primary destination, which is the highlight of the tour, is a visit to the luxury fragrance house called "Amouage." Established more than twenty-five years ago, this exclusive brand is inspired by Oman's rich and vibrant heritage and infuses reference points into its products. Visitors can learn about and experience the ancient Arabian oil perfumes, which are truly captivating. We will spend the night at a hotel in Muscat.
Meals Day 8 - Muscat Departure.
