Day 1 - Istanbul
Upon your arrival at the airport, Europamundo will be there to welcome you and provide transportation to your hotel. Once you arrive at the hotel, make sure to check the information boards located in the reception area. These boards will contain all the necessary details about the welcome meeting with your guide and other travelers.
Meals Day 2 - Istanbul
Today's schedule includes a sightseeing tour of Istanbul, a city that spans two continents. The tour will take us to the Mosque of Suleyman the Magnificent, the largest mosque in Istanbul, as well as the walls, Golden Horn, fishing district, and exterior of Hagia Sofia. Following the tour, we will visit the Top Kapi Palace, which served as the Ottoman Empire's administrative center, showcasing beautiful courtyards and pavilions. Later in the day, we will transfer to Taksim, the city's lively and commercialized neighborhood. Here, you can enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants or take a ride on the old tram that passes through the area. A visit to the nearby Galata Tower is also an option.
Meals Day 3 - Istanbul
The day's highlight is a boat trip on the Bosphorus, lasting approximately two hours and exclusively for Europamundo travelers. The Bosphorus is a strait connecting the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, dividing Istanbul into its European and Asian parts. During the trip, we will witness the bustling atmosphere of the strait and sail under the two bridges linking Europe and Asia. We will also appreciate the sultan's palaces, traditional wooden houses, and Ottoman villas. The tour concludes with a return to Istanbul's center and free time.
Meals Day 4 - Istanbul, Ephesus, Kusadasi
The itinerary for the day includes a visit to Ephesus, St. John's Basilica, and the house of Virgin Mary, with dinner provided. The journey starts early in the morning from Istanbul and proceeds through Turkey. The destination is the ancient city of Ephesus, which is the most well-preserved city of Asia Minor, with a population of 250,000 two millennia ago. The tour includes a visit to St. John's Basilica and the house of Virgin Mary, with admission tickets included. The journey then proceeds to Kusadasi, a coastal town known for its vibrant atmosphere, commercial activity, and a small castle. The day concludes with dinner and accommodation.
Meals Day 5 - Kusadasi, Bodrum, Marmaris
The itinerary for the day includes a visit to Lake BAFA and the picturesque city of Bodrum, which has a Greek origin and is known for its stunning castle and bustling streets. After lunch, the tour moves on to Marmaris, another popular coastal destination with a castle, marina, and fountains. The package includes dinner and overnight stay. Don't miss the chance to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Aegean during the trip.
Meals Day 6 - Marmaris, Dalyan, Antalya
The day's itinerary includes a visit to Lake BAFA, followed by a trip to the fortified city of Bodrum, which boasts stunning views of the Aegean sea. Visitors can explore the city's streets, visit its castle, or enjoy its sports marina. After lunch, the tour continues to Marmaris, another popular tourist destination with features such as a castle, marina, and fountains. The day concludes with dinner and overnight accommodations.
Meals Day 7 - Antalya, Aspendo, Side, Karaman, Nigde
Today's itinerary includes a visit to the well-preserved Roman theatre in Aspendos and the Greek temple of Apollo in Side, both located in the Anatolian region of Turkey. We will also have the opportunity to explore the bustling port and streets of Side. Our journey will take us through the stunning Taurus mountains, which reach heights of over 3500 meters and are covered in snow for much of the year. Along the way, we will make a stop in Karaman to view its fortress. Finally, we will arrive in the Cappadocia region for dinner in Nigde.
Meals Day 8 - Nigde, Capadocia
Experience a full day touring the enchanting region of Cappadocia, renowned for its lunar landscapes, troglodyte villages, and ancient churches. Our itinerary begins with a visit to Gumusler, a remarkable 7th-century underground monastery featuring some of the finest Byzantine frescoes in Turkey. We'll then explore Kaimacli, an underground city capable of accommodating up to 30,000 people. Later, we'll discover Uchisar, a natural fortress, before heading to the Goreme Valley to witness its open-air museum and rock-carved churches (inclusive of entry fees). The tour concludes with dinner at your hotel in Avanos.
Meals Day 9 - Capadocia, Safranbolu
The day's itinerary includes a visit to the changing landscapes of Turkey as we approach the Black Sea, with a stop for traditional Turkish tea and dinner included. Our journey takes us through the interior of Anatolia, where the scenery becomes increasingly verdant as we head north. We arrive in Safranbolu in the early afternoon, a charming small city that is a designated World Heritage Site and an important stop for caravan routes. During our visit, we will enjoy a traditional Turkish tea in the courtyard of a historic Caravanserai, and dinner will also be provided.
Meals Day 10 - Safranbolu, Gokgol Magarasi, Eregli, Istanbul
The tour for the day is focused on the lush green landscapes of Turkey that surround the Black Sea. The itinerary includes a visit to the GOKGOL MAGARASI cave with its underground river and various colors, as well as a stop in EREGLI for lunch and exploration of the fascinating Cehenemagzi caves and tombs, steeped in mythology. The tour ends in Istanbul at the end of the day, but travelers are advised to check their flight times in case an additional night is needed.
