Day 1- Luxor East Bank
Upon reaching Luxor via air or train, our liaison will escort you to your Nile Cruise using a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Boarding should occur before noon. In the afternoon, you'll explore Luxor's East bank, home to the Karnak Temples Complex, the most massive construct ever erected in human history. The main structure is dedicated to the deity Amun Ra, perceived as god's earthly dwelling. Its earliest sections trace back to the Middle Kingdom, though some suggest its inception during the 3rd dynasty. Later, you'll tour the Luxor Temple, initiated by a 12th dynasty king and concluded by the renowned Ramses II. This temple sat at the core of ancient Thebes and was dedicated, like Karnak, to the chief deity, Amun Re. After your day's exploration, you'll be escorted back to your vessel for relaxation. In the evening, the crew will present an Egyptian folkloric show. A served dinner follows before you retire for the night in Luxor. (L-D)
Meals Day 2- Luxor West Bank-Sail To Edfu
Enjoy your morning meal on the Nile cruise before embarking on a mystical journey in Thebes, the holy ground. Discover the west bank of Luxor, home to the Valley of the Kings; a renowned burial site for ancient Egyptian monarchs and rulers. Your exploration continues with a visit to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, a marvel of ancient Egyptian architecture as it's entirely carved into the mountain. The tour concludes with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, relics of King Amenhotep III. Afterward, return to your vessel for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure before enjoying dinner and staying overnight on the cruise.
Meals Day 3- Edfu-Kom ombo-sail to Aswan
Start your day with breakfast aboard your Nile cruise. Your guide will then lead you on an exploratory journey into a world of secrets. Today's guided tour commences with a visit to one of Egypt's most remarkable temples - the Temple of Horus in Edfu, known for its impressive preservation. Following this, you will return to your ship, where lunch will be served during the voyage to Kom Ombo.
In the afternoon, continue your exploration to the Temple of Kom Ombo, a significant place of worship for the two deities Sobek and Haroeris. After this exploration, return to your vessel and relish your lunch.
Take pleasure in the sun deck, observing the unique landscape of the mighty River Nile. This is where ancient Egyptian civilization was birthed and flourished.
As you sail towards Aswan, dinner will be served on board. Arrive in Aswan late in the evening and spend the night.
Meals Day 4- Aswan City tour
Your day will commence with a meal served on your vessel. Following that, you'll explore the magnificent city of Aswan under the guidance of your Egyptologist guide. Your tour includes the High Dam, a significant structure built in 1960 AD by Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser to shield Egypt from Nile floods. Subsequently, you'll embark on a motorboat journey down the Nile, heading towards Agilika Island. Here, you'll encounter the Temple of Philae, an edifice from the Gaeco-Roman era devoted to the goddess Isis, Horus' mother. Your next stop is the striking Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan, a red granite monument dedicated to the god Amun Ra. After wrapping up your day's expedition, you'll return to your vessel for lunch and afternoon tea. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Aswan.
Meals Day 5- Disembarkation from cruise
After enjoying your breakfast, prepare to check out. Our representative will then escort you to the Aswan airport or station for your flight to Cairo. (Breakfast included).
Optional Tour: We offer an excursion tour to the Abu Simbel temples, which can be accessed either by a private coach or domestic flight. Once in Aswan, our English-speaking tour guide will take you in a private air-conditioned van to Abu Simbel. Located on the western bank of the Nile, south of Aswan and 180 miles south of the First Cataract in what was once Nubia, the site is steeped in history. Known as Meha in ancient times, it was first chronicled in the 18th Dynasty when Ay and Horemheb commissioned rock-cut chapels in the southern hills. Upon reaching Abu Simbel, you'll visit the temples built by the renowned King Ramses II. The larger temple, known as the Great Temple, was dedicated to the deity Rahorakhty and constructed by Ramesses II. The smaller one was dedicated to King Ramses II himself and his beautiful queen, Nefertari. After your day tour concludes, we'll drive back to Aswan. Once there, you'll be taken in a private air-conditioned van to your selected hotel for check-in and rest or transferred to Aswan Airport for your subsequent flight.
