Day 1- Luxor East Bank
Once you arrive at the main transport center in Luxor, a personal guide will accompany you to your Nile Cruise in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. You should be comfortably boarded before midday. Your afternoon itinerary includes a visit to the East bank of Luxor, home to the expansive Karnak Temples Complex, one of the largest structures ever built by mankind. The primary edifice is dedicated to the god Amun Ra, thought to be his earthly home. The oldest parts of this structure date back to the middle kingdom, with some signs suggesting even earlier origins from the 3rd dynasty. Following this, you'll be taken to the Luxor Temple, an impressive monument initiated by a 12th dynasty ruler and finished by the renowned King Ramses II. Located in the heart of old Thebes, this temple, much like Karnak, was dedicated to the main god, Amun Re.
After your day's adventure, you'll be guided back to your ship for some well-deserved rest and recuperation. Come evening, the crew has planned an authentic Egyptian folklore show. A meal will be served and you'll spend the night in Luxor. (L-D)
Note: In case you reach Luxor exceptionally ahead of schedule, we'll kickstart the tour right away. This stems from the fact that the cruise registration is slated for noon, and our objective is to spare our guests the inconvenience of whiling away their time in the lobby, waiting for check-in.
Meals Day 2- Luxor west Bank - Sail to Edfu
Start your morning with a hearty breakfast on your Nile cruise. Then, embark on an enthralling tour of Thebes, the sacred land, by delving into the western side of Luxor. Your adventure includes a visit to the Valley of the Kings, acknowledged as the ceremonial sepulcher of rulers and sovereigns from ancient Thebes, and the ultimate burial site of our pharaohs. Progressing further, venture to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. Recognized as a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture, this temple stands out due to its distinct feature of being entirely hewn into the mountain. To round off your exploration, pay a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, a legacy of King Amenhotep III. Upon completing your tour, return to your vessel for a midday meal. The rest of the afternoon is at your disposal for leisure activities. Conclude your day with a delectable dinner and an overnight stay aboard the cruise.
Meals Day 3- Edfu - Kom Ombo - Sail to Aswan
Begin your day by enjoying breakfast on your Nile cruise. Your guide will then take you on an intriguing trip into a world full of mysteries. The day's guided itinerary starts with one of Egypt's most spectacular temples, Edfu's Temple of Horus, famed for its remarkable preservation. After the tour, you'll head back to your ship while lunch is prepared during the journey to Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, your adventure continues to the Kom Ombo Temple, where ancient Egyptians once worshipped the two gods Sobek & Haroeris. Post your exploration, return to the ship for a delicious midday meal. Experience the grandeur of the Nile from the sun deck, beholding the unrivaled scenery of this magnificent river. It's along these shores that the ancient Egyptian civilization took root and flourished. A lavish dinner will be served on board as you sail towards Aswan. You'll reach late in the evening to spend the night
Meals Day 4- Aswan City Tour
Your vessel will serve your morning meal. Post breakfast, a guide well-versed in Egyptian history will take you on an exploration of the majestic Aswan city. Your tour includes The High Dam, a monumental infrastructure implemented by Egypt's leader Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 AD to protect the country from Nile inundations. Subsequently, a motorboat journey along the Nile River will lead you to Agilika Island. Here, you get to discover the Temple of Philae, a structure from the Gaeco-Roman period dedicated to the deity Isis (the mother of Horus). The last attraction of your day will be one of Aswan's remarkable sights, The Unfinished Obelisk. A red granite carving, it was offered to the deity Amun Ra. Upon the end of your day's excursion, you'll head back to your ship where a sumptuous lunch and afternoon tea await you. You can use your evening for leisure activities. The day ends with a delightful dinner and an overnight stay in Aswan.
Meals Day 5- Disembarkation From Cruise
Post your breakfast delight, a representative from our side will accompany you to the Aswan airport or station for your onward journey to Cairo (Breakfast included). There's an optional excursion available: a visit to the Abu Simbel temples, via a private vehicle or a local flight. Our guide fluent in English will greet you in Aswan and will escort you to Abu Simble in a private, air-conditioned transport. Situated on the western shoreline of the Nile, Abu Simble is nestled 180 miles to the south of the First Cataract, previously known as Nubia and referred to as Meha in ancient times. The first mention of this location is found in historical documents from the 18th Dynasty, thanks to Ay and Horemheb who commissioned rock-chiseled chapels into the southern slopes. Once there, you'll get to discover the mesmerizing Abu Simbel Temples, built by the legendary Pharaoh Ramses II. The bigger temple, distinguished as the Great Temple, was consecrated to the revered god Rahorakhty by Ramesses II. The smaller one was devoted to Ramses II himself and his breathtaking queen, Nefertari. After wrapping up your exploration, we'll head back to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, a private air-conditioned vehicle will carry you to your chosen hotel for check-in and unwinding.
