Day 1- Luxor East Bank
Upon reaching Luxor airport or station, our representative will escort you to your Nile Cruise in a private air-conditioned van. Please ensure to embark before 12:00 PM. In the afternoon, you'll explore the East bank of Luxor, including the monumental Karnak Temples Complex - the largest man-made structures in human history. The main building is dedicated to the deity Amun Ra, believed to be god's home on earth. The earliest structure traces back to the middle kingdom, with some references hinting at existence as far back as the 3rd dynasty. Afterwards, we'll visit the Luxor Temple, constructed by a 12th dynasty king and completed by the renowned king Ramses II. Located in the core of ancient Thebes, this temple, like Karnak, was a tribute to the primary god Amun Re. After completing the day's exploration, you'll return to your ship for some relaxation. In the evening, enjoy an Egyptian folkloric show presented by the staff members. Your dinner will be served and your night will be spent in Luxor. Meals Day 2- Luxor West Bank -Sail to Edfu
Start your day with breakfast on the Nile cruise. Following this, delve into the enchanting history of Thebes, the holy land. Embark on a journey across the western bank of Luxor, taking in sights of the Valley of the Kings, the prestigious burial site of the ancient Egyptian rulers and Theban kings. Next, tour the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. This temple's unique architecture, entirely carved into the mountainside, ranks it among the finest instances of architectural ingenuity in ancient Egypt. Cap off your tour with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, relics attributed to King Amenhotep III. Afterwards, return to your vessel for lunch. Spend your afternoon at your leisure before enjoying dinner and spending the night aboard the cruise.
Meals Day 3- Edfu-Komombo-Sail to Aswan
Enjoy a morning meal on your Nile cruise before embarking on an adventure into a world of mystique with your guide. The day's exploration starts with a visit to one of Egypt's most magnificent structures, the Temple of Horus in Edfu. This temple is highly esteemed as one of the most pristine relics in Egypt. Following this, you'll return to your cruise ship, with lunch served on board as we navigate towards the city of Kom Ombo.
In the afternoon, continue your journey at the Temple of Kom Ombo, a place once dedicated to the worship of the two deities Sobek and Haroeris. Afterward, return to the ship and partake in a delicious lunch.
Immerse yourself in the beauty of the deck, observing the unique landscapes offered by the mighty Nile River. It was on these banks that ancient Egyptian civilization originated and thrived.
As we cruise towards Aswan, enjoy a dinner served on board. We will reach Aswan late in the evening where you will spend the night.
Meals Day 4- Aswan City Tour
Your ship will provide breakfast onboard. Subsequently, you'll explore the magnificent city of Aswan with your Egyptologist tour guide. The High Dam, a monumental creation of Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 AD to defend Egypt against Nile floods, is among your destinations. Following this, you'll embark on a motorboat journey on the Nile River, leading you to Agilika Island. Here, you'll visit the Philae Temple, erected during the Greco-Roman era and dedicated to the goddess Isis, mother of god Horus. Your tour will conclude with a visit to the extraordinary Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan, sculpted from red granite and devoted to god Amun Ra. After completing your day's journey, you'll return to your ship where lunch and afternoon tea will be served. The evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure before dinner and an overnight stay in Aswan.
While sailing towards Aswan, a dinner meal will be provided onboard. Upon late-night arrival in Aswan, accommodations for an overnight stay will also be arranged.
Meals Day 5- Disembarkation from cruise
After you've had your breakfast, our representative will escort you to Aswan airport or station for your flight to Cairo (Breakfast included).
Optional Tour: A visit to Abu Simble temples is available, either by private coach or domestic flight. In Aswan, you'll meet our English-speaking tour guide who will arrange a private air-conditioned van transfer to Abu Simbel. This site lies on the western bank of the Nile, 180 miles south of the First Cataract in what was once known as Nubia. Historically named Meha, the location was first recorded in the 18th Dynasty when Ay and Horemheb commissioned rock-cut chapels in the southern hills. Upon reaching, you'll tour Abu Simbel Temples, constructed by the renowned king Ramses II. The largest temple, known as the Great Temple, was dedicated to the famous deity Rahorakhty by Ramesses II. The smaller temple was dedicated to King Ramesses II and his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. After your day tour ends, you'll head back to Aswan. Once in Aswan, a private air-conditioned van will transport you to your chosen hotel for check-in and relaxation, or alternatively, to Aswan airport for your onward journey.
