Known worldwide as the largest complex construction, this magnificent site sprawls over a hundred areas. Your delightful tour concludes at the Luxor Temple, a masterpiece built during the 12th dynasty, with its completion credited to the renowned King Ramses II. There's an optional excursion available: a visit to the Abu Simble temples, via a private vehicle or a local flight. Our guide fluent in English will greet you in Aswan and will escort you to Abu Simble in a private, air-conditioned transport. Situated on the western shoreline of the Nile, Abu Simble is nestled 180 miles to the south of the First Cataract, previously known as Nubia and referred to as Meha in ancient times. The first mention of this location is found in historical documents from the 18th Dynasty, thanks to Ay and Horemheb who commissioned rock-chiseled chapels into the southern slopes. Once there, you'll get to discover the mesmerizing Abu Simbel Temples, built by the legendary Pharaoh Ramses II. The bigger temple, distinguished as the Great Temple, was consecrated to the revered god Rahorakhty by Ramesses II. The smaller one was devoted to Ramses II himself and his breathtaking queen, Nefertari. After wrapping up your exploration, we'll head back to Aswan.
