Day 1- Luxor East Bank
When you touch down at Luxor airport or station, our delegate will escort you to your Nile Cruise in a private air-conditioned van. Boarding will take place before 12:00 PM. During the afternoon, you'll explore the East bank of Luxor, home to the Karnak Temple Complex. This is widely recognized as the most vast structure ever erected throughout human history. The main edifice is dedicated to the deity Amun Ra, as it was seen as the terrestrial dwelling of the god. The oldest part of the structure dates back to the middle kingdom, though some references suggest that earlier constructions go back as far as the 3rd dynasty. Subsequently, you'll continue your journey to the Luxor Temple, a magnificent structure completed by the renowned King Ramses II and originally initiated by a monarch of the 12th dynasty. Located at the heart of ancient Thebes, this temple, like Karnak, was consecrated to the primary deity, Amun Re.
Upon completion of your daily exploration, you'll be escorted back to your vessel for relaxation and rejuvenation. In the evening, a traditional Egyptian performance will be put on by the crew. A meal will be provided and you'll spend the night in Luxor. (L-D) Please note: Should you arrive in Luxor at an early hour, we will commence the tour immediately upon arrival. This is because the cruise check-in time is at 12:00 and we don't want our guests to squander precious time waiting in the lobby for check-in.
