Conclude your delightful journey at the Luxor Temple, a masterpiece initiated by a king from the 12th dynasty and brought to completion by the renowned king Ramses II. There's an optional tour: a trip to the temples of Abu Simbel, either by private car or domestic flight. Our English-speaking guide in Aswan will meet you and take you to Abu Simble in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Located on the western bank of the Nile, Abu Simble is 180 miles south of the First Cataract in what used to be Nubia and was known as Meha in ancient times. The location was first noted in written records during the 18th Dynasty, courtesy of Ay and Horemheb who had rock-cut chapels carved into the southern hillsides. Once there, you will have the opportunity to explore the Abu Simbel Temples, constructed by the renowned Pharaoh Ramses II. The larger temple, known as the Great Temple, was dedicated to the esteemed god Rahorakhty by Ramesses II. The smaller one was dedicated to none other than Ramses II himself and his stunning queen, Nefertari. Upon completion of your tour, we'll return to Aswan.
