Day 1- Luxor East Bank
Upon reaching Luxor airport or train station, our agent will whisk you away to your Nile Cruise in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Boarding will be before noon. Later in the afternoon, you'll have the chance to explore Luxor's East Bank, which is home to the Karnak Temple Complex. These are some of the largest human-made structures in history. The main edifice is dedicated to the god Amun Ra, as it was seen as his earthly residence. The earliest parts of the structure date back to the Middle Kingdom era, but some records suggest there were buildings as old as the 3rd dynasty.
Upon completing your daily excursion, you'll be escorted back to your vessel for relaxation and rejuvenation. In the evening, the crew will present an authentic Egyptian cultural performance. Your evening meal will be provided, and you'll spend the night in Luxor. (L-D)
Meals Day 2- Luxor West Bank - Sail to Edfu
Enjoy your morning meal on the Nile cruise, before immersing yourself in the enchantment of Thebes, the holy ground. Begin your journey on the west bank of Luxor, home to the Valley of the Kings. This site is recognized as the burial grounds of the Theban monarchs and ancient Egypt's leaders, including our Pharaohs. Following this, you'll visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. Recognized as one of the most impressive architectural feats of ancient Egypt, this temple is unique because it was entirely chiseled into the mountainside. Finally, you will tour the Colossi of Memnon, associated with King Amenhotep III. After your explorations, you will return to your vessel for your midday meal. Spend the afternoon at your leisure. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay on the cruise.
Meals Day 3- Edf - Kom Ombo - Sail to Aswan
Begin your day with breakfast on your Nile cruise, before embarking on a journey full of mystery and intrigue. Your guide for the day will lead you to one of Egypt's most extraordinary sites - the Temple of Horus in Edfu, renowned as one of Egypt's best-preserved temples. Following this, you'll return to your ship, where a delicious lunch awaits you as we sail towards Kom Ombo.
In the afternoon, prepare to explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, a place of worship for the deities Sobek and Haroeris for a period. After this fascinating visit, return to your ship and enjoy your meal.
Spend some time on the sun deck, immersing yourself in the unique landscapes that unfold along the banks of the majestic river Nile - a cradle of ancient Egyptian civilization.
As we navigate towards Aswan, a delectable dinner will be served on board. Expect to reach Aswan late in the evening and spend the night there.
Meals Day 4- Aswan City Tour
Your day will commence with a breakfast served aboard your vessel. Following this, you will embark on an exploration of the magnificent city of Aswan, guided by an Egyptologist. This journey includes a visit to The High Dam, a structure erected by Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 AD as a safeguard against the Nile flood. Next, you'll take a motorboat ride on the Nile River until you reach Agilika Island. Here, you'll explore the Temple of Philae, built during the Graeco-Roman era in honor of the goddess Isis (the mother of god Horus). Our last stop is a stunning Aswan attraction, The Unfinished Obelisk, crafted from red granite and dedicated to god Amun Ra. After completing your sightseeing tour, you'll return to your ship where lunch will be served. Later in the afternoon, enjoy some tea onboard. The evening is yours to spend at leisure. Dinner and an overnight stay in Aswan conclude your day.
Meals Day 5- Disembarkation From Cruises
Venturing to the temples of Abu Simbel, either by personal transport or domestic flight, our English-proficient guide stationed in Aswan will meet and accompany you in a private air-conditioned vehicle towards Abu Simbel. This historical site lies south of Aswan along the Nile's western bank, 180 miles beyond the First Cataract in the region formerly known as Nubia. It was previously referred to as Meha in antiquity, with its first recorded mention during the 18th Dynasty, when Ay and Horemheb commissioned the carving of chapels into the southern hills. Upon your arrival, you'll visit the esteemed Abu Simbel Temples, constructed under the reign of the famed Ramses II. The largest of these temples, known as the Great Temple, was dedicated to the revered god Rahorakhty and erected by Ramses II himself. There is also a smaller temple, dedicated to both Ramses II and his beloved wife Queen Nefertari. Once your day tour concludes, you'll return to Aswan. Upon reaching Aswan, you'll be escorted in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your selected hotel for check-in and relaxation, or you could be transferred to Aswan airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo.
