Day 1- Luxor East Bank
Once you reach Luxor airport or railway station, our delegate will escort you to your Nile Cruise in a private, air-conditioned van. You should be on board before noon. In the afternoon, you will explore the East bank of Luxor, which includes the vast Karnak Temples Complex - the most massive structures humans have ever erected. The main edifice is dedicated to the god Amun Ra, as it was seen as his earthly dwelling. The oldest parts of this structure trace back to the middle kingdom, but there are indications that suggest some buildings are as ancient as the 3rd dynasty.
In due course, you'll be guided towards the Luxor Temple, a historical monument constructed by a monarch from the 12th dynasty and brought to completion by the renowned King Ramses II. Situated at the core of antiquated Thebes, this temple, like Karnak, venerates the principal deity, Amun Re. Once you've wrapped up your daytime exploration, you'll be escorted back to your vessel for relaxation and recuperation. Come evening, the team will organize an Egyptian folkloric performance for your enjoyment. A scrumptious dinner will be provided and you'll spend your night in Luxor.
Meals Day 2- Luxor West Bank - Sail to Edfu
Begin your day with breakfast on your Nile cruise. Then, embark on an enchanting tour of Thebes, the sacred land, starting with the exploration of Luxor's west bank. Here, you will visit the Valley of the Kings, known to be the royal resting place of ancient Egyptian kings and rulers, including our Pharaohs. Continuing your journey, you'll move on to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. This temple stands as an exquisite example of ancient Egyptian architecture due to its unique feature of being entirely carved into a mountain. Concluding your tour, you will visit the Colossi of Memnon, a monument belonging to King Amenhotep III. Following this, return to your ship for lunch. Spend your afternoon at leisure. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay on the cruise.
Meals Day 3- Edfu - Kom Ombo - Sail to Aswan
Start your day with a breakfast on your Nile cruise, followed by an intriguing tour guided by an expert. The journey begins with a visit to one of Egypt's most astonishing structures, the Temple of Horus in Edfu, lauded as one of the best-preserved temples in the country. After the tour, you will return to your ship where lunch awaits you as we sail towards Kom Ombo.
In the afternoon, gear up to delve into the Temple of Kom Ombo, a place that was once a site of reverence for the two gods Sobek & Haroeris. Once you've finished exploring, head back to the ship for a scrumptious lunch.
Relax on the sun deck as you take in the unique landscape of the mighty river Nile. It's along these banks that the ancient Egyptian civilization was born and thrived.
As we sail towards Aswan, a delicious dinner will be served on board. You'll arrive in Aswan late in the evening where you'll spend the night.
Meals Day 4- Aswan City Tour
Your morning meal will be catered on your ship. Subsequently, you will embark on a journey of discovery in the splendid city of Aswan with your Egyptologist guide. The tour includes a visit to The High Dam, a monumental structure commissioned by the Egyptian president, Gamal Abdel Nasser in the year 1960 AD as a protective measure against the Nile flood. Following this, you'll experience the pleasure of a motorboat ride on the Nile River until you reach Agilika Island. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Temple of Philae, a shrine from the Gaeco-Roman era dedicated to the goddess Isis (mother of god Horus). Your tour will culminate with a visit to one of Aswan's most captivating attractions, The Unfinished Obelisk, crafted from red granite and devoted to the god Amun Ra. After your excursion concludes, you'll return to your ship where lunch awaits. Afternoon tea will be served onboard as well. You are free to spend your evening at your leisure. A delectable dinner concludes the day before your overnight stay in Aswan.
Meals Day 5- Disembarkation From Cruises
You can explore the Abu Simbel temples via private transportation or a local flight. Our tour guide, fluent in English, will meet you in Aswan and accompany you to Abu Simbel in a private air-conditioned vehicle. This iconic site, situated on the Nile's western bank, is approximately 180 miles south of Aswan and the First Cataract, within the ancient region of Nubia. Known as Meha in antiquity, the location was first recorded in the era of the 18th Dynasty when Ay and Horemheb commissioned rock-carved chapels in the southern hills. Upon arrival at Abu Simbel, you'll tour temples created by the renowned Pharaoh Ramses II. The largest, known as the Great Temple, was dedicated to the deity Rahorakhty and constructed by Ramses II. Meanwhile, a smaller temple honours Ramses II and his beloved wife Queen Nefertari. After completing your daily exploration, you'll return to Aswan. Once there, you'll be transported to your selected hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle for check-in and relaxation, or you may be transferred to the Aswan airport for your domestic flight to Cairo.
